Well, for me…it’s been an exciting road since 1989 in Broken Arrow, Okla!
After graduation I moved to Tulsa and worked as an assistant manager at a bank for about 8 years. Soon after that I worked for an auto finance company which offered me a job in Florida. I had been to Florida several times growing up and was really excited about moving there! In 1996 I moved to Ft. Lauderdale and was getting very spoiled living on the beach and partying 24/7! It was a great place! A year later I moved to Miami Beach and worked in the corporate office at Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. Great job!! Each year the company would pay for one cruise of your choice for every employee! The first year I worked there I took a cruise around the Mediterranean! After that I really started to enjoy traveling. I’ve been to the Caribbean, Italy, France, London and Mexico. During my travels, I found California! Since Florida was hot, humid, and started becoming a 24/7 hang over I decided to head west! LOL So in 1999 I took a finance job with a company in San Francisco, California and I’ve been here ever since. I love it! California has become my second home (Oklahoma being #1, of course!). For the past 8 years I’ve worked as an accountant in commercial real estate. I live about 30 miles east of San Francisco with my partner and our 3 cats. We’re expanding our family this spring and adopting a child…or two! I’m excited about becoming a parent for the first time! |
