Comments:

I joined the Navy after high school, where I was a submarine radioman from 1990 to 1994. Afterwards I went to OSU, joined a fraternity (Sigma Chi), and got degrees in History and French, graduating in 1998. I then went to OU law school (because no one pays you to be a History or French major) and took the bar in 2001. I moved to Dallas in 2002, where I currently practice business litigation, and occasionally represent business creditors in commercial bankruptcies.

In April, 2004, I literally ran into Jennifer Lee on a street in Dallas, who eventually helped re-introduce me to Kristi Myers. Kristi and I started dating in May of 2007, and are now married as of July 25, 2008. We now own a home in south Tulsa and I will be moving back at some point.

School Story:

The end of the year bonfire party where we got chased out of the field near New Tulsa by the police and formed a drunken convoy that drove all over town.

Weekend nights at the various dance clubs.

Mrs. Farquahr's Family Relations class (a/k/a Man-Bashing 101). I remember after one particularly bad day of man-bashing, the class kind of revolted. One girl said something to the effect of "You know, some girls - I'm not talking about me necessarily - but some girls might actually, you know, like sex." James Moloney followed this up rhetorically with "I mean, is sex a living hell for women?!?"

Speaking of James Moloney, getting busted along with him by Ms. Markham for having alcohol at Oklahoma Close-Up. The Jenks guys who supplied the drinks (I ran into them at the Wormy Dog in Stillwater years later) only got their wrists slapped and were allowed to stay. Nice.

Ronnie Boals's campaign speech, which was at once rambling and brilliant.

Nimrod teaching me how to cuss in Hebrew. His mother's cooking.

All-American Fitness and Raquetball Club.

Cruising with the T-tops down and Bon Jovi blaring on the cassette tape deck.

It's a small world... In the summer of 1990, while in the Navy, I ran into Brad Holmes's older brother at the base in Orlando, Florida. A year later, I ran into Walter Ross at the submarine base in Groton, Connecticut.
