Rhett Lewis Wheeler 64, of Bryant passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017. He was born December 19, 1952 in Pheonix, Arizona to Ted Wheeler and Shirley Rafter. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lyn Wheeler and his sister, Tammy Cottrell.

Rhett graduated from Benton High School in 1971. He served in the United States military in 1972 and 1973. In his early years, Rhett worked at the Alcoa plant, but spent the majority of his career in the healthcare industry. With his caring heart, he was the best in the business. He truly loved taking care of his clients and always went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable.

He was a loving daddy, granddaddy, son, brother, uncle and friend. Rhett was deeply devoted to his parents and siblings, and his biggest sense of accomplishment was his daughter Caroline and his grandson, Christian, his pride and joy. He exuded love and brightened the world of not only his family and friends, but even strangers with his bigger than life personality. Rhett was a member of the Benton Seventh-Day Adventist church and served his church faithfully while his health allowed.

He will be missed beyond measure.
