50th Year Festival

James River High School will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this coming school year. Founded in the fall of 1959, the school graduated its first class in the spring of 1960 and its 50th class in the spring of 2009. Our celebration will salute the staff and students who have walked our halls since that opening day and celebrate our school and its relationship with our surrounding communities over the past 50 years.
