The Time For Fun Is This Next Weekend August 20-21st!

  SATURDAY 8.20.11

We begin the fun at Emerald Downs

· 7-8PM is a no-host cocktail hour – we are leveraging the main public bar to get their happy hour rates!

· 8-Midnight we will move into the Windmer Brothers Club space to connect, dine, laugh and keep shaking our heads with “Really – it has been 20 years?!!!”

· We will be taking a class photo at this event.

· We are looking for some volunteers to help us at the event – please reach out to me or Jen as soon as possible.

· Important Note: We have free tickets to get you into the Races early if you want to gamble a bit. I will be onsite at 4pm and thus call or text my cell (206.715.7011) and I will get tickets up to you.

·        Tickets will be sold at the door only now: $85/couple $50 for an individual ticket.

  Mud Mountain Dam Potluck 11-3pmCAYUSE SHELTER

· Open to all classmates and families

· Please bring: potluck items to share, chairs, ice, coolers, towels (if you or your family will be in the water), cameras for the fun, good shoes if you want to hike down to see the dam

· Important Note: For those attending the Saturday evening event, plates, napkins, utensils, hamburger, hotdogs, buns will be provided for you as part of your reunion ticket cost.

· Directions noted below.

DIRECTIONS to EMERALD DOWNS:

Traveling South on I-5:

           1. Take exit #147 (272nd St) and go east into the valley (approx. 3 miles).

2. Turn right on West Valley Hwy and continue one mile until you reach the 37th Street NW light,

3. Turn left. Emerald Downs is 1/2 mile ahead on the right.

Traveling North on I-5

           1. Take exit #142A.

2. Continue east two miles on Hwy 18 and take the Hwy 167 northbound on-ramp.

3. Continue to 15th Street NW exit, turn right from off-ramp and follow sign to main entrance (left on Emerald Downs Dr.)

South/Northbound 167

1. Take the 15th St NW exit and go east from off-ramp.

2. Continue on 15th for 1/2 mile and follow the signs to Emerald Downs' main entrance (left on Emerald Downs Drive).

HOTEL (if needed):

Janelle Kaelin-Jensen was able to block out rooms. Please contact the Holiday Inn Express in Sumner and ask for the White River Reunion Rate of $129.00! They are just off of the W. Valley Hwy exit off 167. (253) 299-0205.

Directions to MUD MOUNTAIN DAM:

From Buckley/Tacoma:

1. Take Hwy 167 to 410 East to Sumner

2. Hwy 410 East through Bonney Lake, Buckley and Enumclaw

3. In Enumclaw stay on Hwy 410 East

4. Go about 6 miles and turn right onto Mud Mountain Road

5. Go 2.5 miles to Mud Mountain Dam Project

From Auburn/Enumclaw:

1. Take Hwy 164 East to Enumclaw

2. Go through Enumclaw and turn left onto Hwy 410 East

3. Go about 6 miles and turn right onto Mud Mountain Road

4. Go 2.5 miles to Mud Mountain Dam Project

From Seattle:

1. Take I-5 South to Hwy 18 East,

2. From Hwy 18 take the Auburn/Enumclaw exit

3. At Auburn take Hwy 164 East to Enumclaw

4. Go through Enumclaw and turn left onto Hwy 410 East

5. Go about 6 miles and turn right onto Mud Mountain Road

7. Go 2.5 miles to Mud Mountain Dam Project

· Note if you are familiar with the area, you can go via the first turn-off after the bridge heading to Enumclaw.
