BURLESON — Cindy Hilley, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, teacher and friend, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2007, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at First Baptist Church of Burleson with a visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at Crosier Pearson Mayfield Funeral Home in Burleson.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 4, in Fairview Cemetery with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Shaffer Funeral Home in Bronte, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

Cindy was a beloved member of the Burleson ISD family for 17 years. Always smiling, always laughing and always positive, she was an inspiration to those she worked with and was able to touch so many lives during her time with us. Cindy showed everyone how to live simply, laugh often and love deeply.

The Lord is with you, O valiant warrior.

Survivors include her husband, Harold; sons HG and Ben; mother Ernestine VanZandt; sister Lanelle Johnson; brothers Kenneth and Robert VanZandt; as well as many other relatives and cherished friends.
