**Mrs. Navae Ledbetter (Middle School Teacher)

 

1947-2008

Navae C. Ledbetter, 61, of Burleson, a teacher for the Burleson ISD, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008, in Fort Worth. Her passing was beautiful and peaceful, with her mother by her side.
Celebration of life: 4 p.m. Monday at Alsbury Baptist Church in Burleson. Visitation: following the service at the church.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Burleson Special Needs Childrens Fund, in memory of Navae, Burleson ISD, in care of Navae Ledbetter, 1160 S.W. Wilshire Blvd., Burleson 76028; or Baylor All Saints Transplant Program. 

Navae Conner Ledbetter was born Jan. 26, 1947, in Lufkin to John Avery and Ella Conner. She married Charles "Bud" Ledbetter on Sept. 2, 1972, in Burleson. She was a very active member of Alsbury Baptist Church of Burleson. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and loved swimming with her grandchildren.

Navae showed great courage, strength and faith during her 13 months of illness. She was the Proverbs 31 lady.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Avery Conner.

Survivors: Husband, Bud Ledbetter of Burleson; son, Charles Ledbetter and wife, Cheryl of Burleson; daughters, Mecca Givens and husband, Jeff of Fort Worth, Laura Hampton and husband, Ray of North Richland Hills; mother, Ella Conner Champion and husband, Gilbert of Gonzales; grandchildren, Coleman and Sumner Ledbetter, Ella and Henry Givens, and Joshah Hampton; three nieces; and four nephews.
