Jay Richard Benston, age 50, a lifelong Burlington resident died unexpectedly on January 11, 2010 with family by his side at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle.

He was born December 9, 1959 in Burlington. Jay attended Burlington-Edison High School.

Survivors include his father and mother, Richard "Joe" and Janice (Ammeter) Benston of Burlington; one brother, John Benston and partner Cindy Reynolds of Burlington; niece, Katie (Zeke) Hargett of Sedro-Woolley; nephew, Charlie Benston of Burlington; and many friends and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Dean and Eudean Benston and John and Marguerita Ammeter.

Graveside service will be held in Burlington Cemetery on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 1:30 p.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hulbush Funeral Home, Burlington.
