On September 7, 2022, Laura passed away surrounded by her loved ones in Mount Vernon. She lost her long fighting battle with Ovarian cancer at the age of 62. Laura was an amazing wife, mother, sister, auntie, and friend. She was everyone’s biggest fan, supporter, and ray of sunshine. Her laughter and silliness were contagious, you always knew when Laura was around there was a fun time to be had. Her favorite things were spending time with family and friends, camping, crafting, sewing, reading, Disneyland, garage-saleing, getting pampered at the salon and being a girly-girl.

Laura married Scott Broadway on April 12, 1980 in Mt. Vernon, WA. Their son, Kevin was born April 15, 1986 in Mt. Vernon, WA. Laura is the daughter of Walt and Alene Mueller, granddaughter of Arnell and Adla Johnson and Thelma Parmeter, and niece to Sylvia McKee, and step-daughter-in-law to Roger Button. Laura is mom to Kevin and mother-in-law to Joy Broadway. Laura is the sister of Steve Mueller (Sandy Kraljevich), Janell Albrecht (Daniel), and sister-in-law to Retta Broadway (Dennis Ryan). Laura is the auntie to Brad Mueller, Brenna Peterson (Chris), Josh Albrecht (Gretchen), Anja Conklin (Shawn), and Delaney Broadway. Laura was a great-auntie to Breckyn, Camryn, Brady, Andrew, Luke, Taylor, Jaxon and Cameron. Laura was a loving friend to Beth Ward and Gail McDermott.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, in-laws Lois and Kenneth Broadway, and nephew, Joel Albrecht.
