Obituary for Sheila D. Polum

Sheila D. Polum, age 58, of Mayfield passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 13, 1956 in Butler, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late William Glen Polum and Naomi May Kradel Polum.

Sheila was a graduate of Butler High School in Pennsylvania. She worked for 23 years as a Steel Inspector for Armco in Butler. She was then employed by Liberty ARC until retiring due to illness.

Ms. Polum is survived by her companion of fifteen years Michele D. Forsey; children Nikki Forsey (Ryan Richards) of Gloversville, Savanah Radigan (Thomas) of Amsterdam, Amanda Forsey (Chris Jordan) of Mayfield and Diana Steinberger of Johnstown, one brother Tommie Polum (Alma) of Butler, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Marcus Sommers, Nariah Richards, Jade Richards, Victoria Michele Radigan and Jordan Stanton-Forsey; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Mary Walker (Sam), Melissa Lightner (Dan), Beverly McRedomnd (Mike), Debby Funk (Shawn), Suzie Colson (Bob), Andrew Lawrence (Tammy) and Louis Lawrence, mother-in-law Betsy Lawrence and many friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister Diana Lynn Polum and father-in-law Andrew Lawrence.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29 at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown.

Cremation will be at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.

Private Inurnment will be conducted at the convenience of the family.

A benefit for Sheila will be held at 1:00 P.M. on November 29, 2014 at VFW Post 949, 2495 State Highway 30A, Fonda, New York 12068.
