Mary Jean Wheeler, 71, of Butler went to be with the Lord Nov. 20 surrounded by her family.
She was born June 18, 1946, in Butler and was the daughter of the late Michael E. Vayda and the late Mary (Frenchak) Vayda.
Jean graduated from Butler Senior High School in 1964.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed yard sales, Armco bingo, traveling to Colorado, her many friends and especially the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn A. "Bud" Wheeler, whom she married Feb. 13, 1965; two sons, Jeffery G. Wheeler and his wife, Lori, and Mark A. Wheeler and his wife, Heather, both of Butler; five grandchildren, Alexandra, Payton, Cade, Marshall and Hayden; one sister, Ann P. McGregor and her husband, Steve, of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her brother, Michael A. Vayda.
WHEELER - There will be no public visitation or services for Mary Jean Wheeler, who died Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, per her wishes.
Arrangements were handled by Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
