Johanna Zotter, 77, of Butler, passed away on Friday, Aug. 11, 2023.
She was born in Butler on March 11, 1946, to the late Peter and Anne (Gavula) Yakubik.
After graduating from Butler High School in 1964, Johanna worked at Butler Hospital for 19 years and Penn Vascular Lab for 10 years. She then worked at UPMC for seven years, retiring after being diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2005. Johanna loved to read, do yardwork and word search puzzles, and she especially loved her pets. She belonged to St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church of Lyndora.
Johanna was the mother of the late Rebecca "Becky" Zotter, who was killed in a car accident on July 6, 1984, at the age of 18; and she was also the former wife of Anton Zotter.
ZOTTER - Graveside burial services for Johanna Zotter, who died Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Rd., Butler.
