Calhoun High School
Class Of 1979

Welcome to the Calhoun High Class Of 1979 web site. Click on the "Classmates Profile" link to the left and update your profile with as much info as you can. For you ladies your name is listed as your maiden name. After you get into the site, you can then change it to your married name. Please spread the word about this website to anyone you see on the list that has not updated their information. Check back on this site all you want to get updates on new classmates that have been added. The teachers are listed on here too. We would love to have teachers update their profiles also.

For any of you that are on Facebook, we have a page for our class. Search for "Calhoun High Class of '79" and request to be added and we will get you added to it. (I think most of the folks on there have a picture on their profile and may be hesitant to put it on this website.)

You can mess around with the other links. The "User Forums" link is a place where you can start a "blog" on any subject...high school memories, funny things that happened, etc. Be creative and have fun with that! And show us all some pictures of you and/or your family!! Let us know of any suggestions you might have to add on here.  We hope to be adding things as we go along to kind of liven this site up! This site can only be as fun and informative as everyone wants to put into it so I hope everyone enjoys it! Thanks

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hey folks...Hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted to make everyone aware of a class gathering for anyone that would like to join us. It's kind of a last minute thing, but anyone that can make it we would love to see you.

Mitch Frix is making availabe to us his farm out in the Nicklesville area. There will be more details to come in the next day or so but what we know right now is that it will be next Saturday, July 23rd starting around 4:00. Set that day and time aside. We will be back in a couple days with directions and more info.

Hope to see everyone there.

Ok folks, listed below are directions to the Frix's pavilion at the river. This is going to be pretty much an informal, bring what you want event. There will be a grill there, and I think I'm correct on the information I received, but I was told that Mitch will cook whatever you want to eat, you just have to furnish whatever it is you want. Whatever you want to drink, bring it. Mitch is just being nice enough to furnish the location for us just to hang out and catch up with each other. If anyone wants to bring watermelon or anything like that, it would be great. Cornhole boards might be fun (these are just suggestions).

If anyone wants to bring innertubes or anything like that, you are welcome to. The river at their pavilion is very shallow (maybe knee deep) and everyone is welcome to float around if you want. For anyone that might want to float down the river it is about a half hour float from the bridge to his pavilion, about an hour from the dam. Bring lawn chairs or anything like that to sit in. Again, around 4:00. All are welcome.

Here are the directions to the Frix’s river pavilion:

 Take Hwy 225 to Nickelsville

At the 4 way stop, turn right onto Hwy 136

Go 6.2 miles and take a left onto White Graves Church Road

Go 2.2 miles and take a left on to McAfee Circle

Go 0.3 miles and turn left onto a dirt road (dirt road is across from a white farm house)

The dirt road will take you down to our pavilion on the river.

Please don’t park too close to the pavilion

The dirt road is a little rough, so if you have a pick-up, SUV, etc. it would be best to drive that vehicle
