I love where I live (Kingston mile marker 90 on the NYS Thruway.) We're close enough to NYC yet far enough away to escape the traffic and the unpleasant elements of living in the metro area.

I became a "home worker," telecommuting to McLean, VA in 2000 and traveled extensively throughout the US until my accident in 2005.

Returned to my job after six months of rehab, sans the business travel.

Sh*t happens, it's how you deal with that matters.

School Story:

My family left Canandaigua when I was in second grade and we returned when I started 10th grade at CA.

We moved to Fairport, Philadelphia, Toronto, the Tampa St Pete area and then back to Canandaigua.

I am envious of the lifelong friends that many of you share, yet I wouldn't give up the experiences I had always being the new kid in class.

Keep reading the azrepublic.com! Love that city and that drive south down to Tucson through the buttes. John Foley sat behind me on my last flight to Phoenix and didn't know it was me until the rental car lot.

Still living in the part of NYS that says "soda" and not "pop" and roots for the Giants and not the Bills.

I've been back to Canandaigua every few months primarily to visit my Father who now lives with many of my former classmate's parents at Quall Summit (Chris Baker and Jim Chiappone's Mothers to name drop a few.) ...and spending allot of money at Inn on the Lake....what is with this $190 per night rate b.s.? I'd prefer the Holiday Inn Express which is also the same rate...but the Mrs. trumps my decisions.
