The picture below was submitted by Nelson Thurn.  He says: "I figured the folks on the class website would get a kick out of this pic of this very pious group of students. I know if was tied into first communion but I'm not sure if all of these kids were necessarily students at St Mary's...............I think some of them might be public school students who happened to be Catholic. You should be able to pick out a few people. I'm 3rd from the left in the 4th row from the bottom. I think that's Nick Valvano directly behind me. Ken Posman is 4th from the right in the same row. Harvey Reddick is in the last row, in the group of extra tall kids. I'm not sure who the girl rocking the killer tan, 4th from the right in the bottom row is. I'm pretty sure she moved out of the area shortly after this."
