I was in Jimmy's fifth grade class which was the year he was killed crossing the street to get to his bus. I remember the hushed whispers and the tears of our teacher. I remember it happening in the morning. I was a "walker" and had limited experience with bus riding. I know my super paranoia when my girls rode the bus to school was because of that accident.
Of Jimmy I remember his blond hair, how he could throw a mean snowball and how he was much too young to die.
