More milestones passed in my life. Retirement from my career job after 46+ years and now live in Brazil.

Ron Wilson, a classmate of ours died last week. I just found out on Face book this morning. Don't know cause of death. He had been in the hospital once since Christmas for congestive heart failure. A big hearted guy.

Our 50 year class reunion is scheduled for April 18 & 19, 2014 and believe it or not, this corresponds to the MPA Centennial Celebration - Our beloved MPA is celebrating its 100th birthday at the same time. So as the 50 year honor class we are getting special recognition. Plan now to be a part of this special occasion.

We have 15 rooms reserved at a special discounted rate in the nearby Country Inn & Suites. And for Friday night and Saturday afternoon, we have reserved the hotel breakfast area so our class can get together after meetings to visit. We have also booked the Community Center across the street from the MPA church beginning Sabbath afternoon at 5:00PM so we can eat, meet, and greet there as long as we like on Saturday Night.
The Country Inn & Suites address is: 1914 Old Haywood Road, Asheville, NC 28806. To reserve your room, phone (828) 665-9556 and tell them you are in the "BLOCK 64MPA". Using that block code, they will give you the discounted rate of $89 (+ taxes) per night. This rate is good until March 18, 2014. After March 18, the discounted rate is subject to room availability and is not guaranteed at the discounted rate. Cancellation after April 16th, 2014 will be charged 1 night's rate plus all applicable taxes, though substitutions are allowed. Please keep a careful record of any confirmation or cancellation numbers in case there are billing discrepancies.

Send them a FaceBook message, put a link to this site on your FaceBook page, send them a postcard or letter if you have to.
