In Memory

Mark Putnam VIEW PROFILE

My brother Mark passed away in his sleep on February 12th. He served in the military for eight years. He worked many jobs after his honorable discharge. His last place of employment was with Burco in Asheville.

He loved hiking, camping and fishing. One of his friends summed it up well.

If you were with mark you were going to have a good time and he would make you laugh.

He thought little of material things. He had a saying that I would like to share.

" I will collect memories and moments & you collect what you will."

We still miss him and wish he was here with us. It is a comfort to know that his soul is at peace now and can rest. I suspect however that if there are trout in heaven....Mark has caught his limit each day.

He seemed the happiest when he was in the military and it is for that reason that I chose the pictures for this profile.

What can I say about Mark... he was my friend/best friend since 3rd grade.  He and his family were like my second family.  Like them I miss Mark everyday.  I was lucky to have known him and proud to have called him my friend.  This reunion will not be the same without him...his keen wit and ability to just look at someone and come up with a remark or observation that just hit home and made you laugh your A##$ off will be missed.  Others can imitate but he was an original.
