Scott J. Allison, 53, of Haywood County, NC, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016.
Scott was born July 2, 1962, in Sylva, NC, the son of the Jack Allison and Betsy Pannell Allison. He was a 1980 graduate of Pisgah High School in Canton, NC. After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
Scott was a Christian and attended church on a regular basis. He was also a member of the American Legion and enjoyed arts and crafts in his spare time.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a niece, Ryan Leigh Allison.
Survivors include a brother, Tom Allison; niece, Katie Allison; nephew, Adam Allison; special friend, Jan Frizzell; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, additional family members and friends.
Private services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Veterans Restoration Center in Oteen, NC.
Scott was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
