RICHARD B. FLEMINGTON, Akron

Richard B. Flemington of Akron, age 46, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at his home.  He was born June 20, 1967 in Detroit, the son of the late Clinton and Elizabeth (Lincoln) Flemington.  Richard was a graduate of Unionville High School and spent his working career as a general laborer at numerous locations, most recently at Michigan Sugar in Sebewaing.  He loved being outdoors, especially going “Up North” and to the beach, having a good time with friends and family, and road trips.  Richard is survived by his children, Elizabeth & David Groosbeck of Caro, Kaitlyn Flemington of Caro; one grandson, Brexten Groosbeck at home; one brother and five sisters, Dennis Sweet of Akron, Elizabeth (Chris) Brandt of Palmdale, California, Kathy (Joe) Brandle of Saginaw, Elexia McGowan of Kentucky, Melissa (Andrew) Fribley of Michigan, and Shiloh (Jerry) Fitzgibbon of Munising; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Flemington.  In accordance with Richard’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned at this time.
