Wilma M. Lowe, 82, of Monett, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield. She was born June 1, 1925, in Purdy the daughter of Ralph and Mary (Hankins) Bennett. She married Kirk Lowe, Jr. on Aug. 12, 1948, in Monett and he survives.

Additional survivors include: three sisters, Mildred Rerick, of Monett, Nadean Merritt, of Purdy, and Evelyn Bowman, of Galena; two brothers, Jim Bennett, of Purdy, and Clinton Bennett, of Monett. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin, Gary and Glendell Bennett; and one sister Merilyn Hemphill.

She had taught in the Cassville elementary school system, retiring after 20 years. She was a member of Arnhart Baptist Church, Purdy.

Funeral services were held Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home with Rev. Jarel Burnside officiating. Interment was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Butterfield.
