Kevin and I were in Graphic Arts together. Kevin enjoyed cheeseburgers and crinkle fries from a restaurant on Franklin Street. I can't remember the name. I think it was the Carolina Grill. Kevin enjoyed the Charlie Daniels Band and laughter. I miss him.

Kevin made Driver's Ed one of the funniest classes I ever took.

Since our 30th Reunion is in a few days, I had to take a moment to remember one of the best friends a girl could ever have during high school.  He was one of the funniest people I have ever known.  I pulled out my 1979 CHHS yearbook and this is how it began:

Kim - With someone like you, I really don't know where to start.  There's so much to say! First of all, I guess I should thank you for being the friend that you are........

I'm so glad I have his thoughts in writing in my yearbook.  He always made me laugh until I cried!! We had many crazy times!!   Kevin and I remained friends throughout high school and then throughout college at ECU.  I left in 1983 and Kevin passed away, I believe in 1984 (a little fuzzy on the year), due to injuries sustained in a car accident outside of Greenville, NC.

So, to my friend Kevin.....thank you for being the friend that you were to me.  You will never be forgotten.  Continued Peace, my friend.
