Andy died on September 11, 2002 after a battle with cancer. He lived in Knoxville, Maryland just across the state line from Harpers Ferry. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Diana and had two daughters and one granddaughter. Andy loved country living and commuted by train to his telephone company job in DC. He graduated from WVU and was a rabid fan of the football program. Andy enjoyed camping and tennis. Mark McCoy remembers him as a loyal friend and as someone with a strong sense of right and wrong.
