Frances was 25 when she died from kidney failure on March 25, 1975. She had been a diabetic since she was in the second grade. She was married to classmate Joe Scheirman who calls her Elia and who remembers her contagious laughter and quick beautiful smile. Fran taught for two years at Sacred Heart School and was so loved that many of her students had their parents bring them to the funeral home to pay their respects to Mrs. Scheirman.
