Joan was a beautiful person inside and out. She died from the result of breast cancer which spread throughout her body. She and Dickie Ford had two beautiful sons. I visited her weekly during her final days. It was difficult watching her slip away, but I am very thankful I was able to spend that special time with her.
Joan was indeed beautiful in every way. I remember her running around with Debbie Hart--the majorette and the cheerleader. We had a long talk at the 20th reunion. Joan had quite a successful career in banking, but she was proudest of her two boys. She died not too long after that. SHe was a lovely person.
