Walter Randolph Norris
Mr. Walter Randolph Norris, 59, of Cornelius, NC left his earthly life surrounded by family and friends Wednesday November 30, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Born January 2, 1952 in Charlotte he was a son of the late Charles Bradley Norris and Ernestine Stout Norris. He was employed for over 40 years by Charlotte Memorial Hospital now Carolina's Health Care Systems as a cardiac cath tec.
Walter was loved and enjoyed by many. His good nature, positive attitude and humor touched everyone.
Memorial Services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4 in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 27 years, Angela 'Angie' Jordan Norris; sister, Sally Templin; brothers, Chuck, Bill, John, Ed and Tom Norris; several nieces and nephews.
The family extends to Dr. Peter Justis and staff a special thank you for their compassionate care of Walter during his declining health.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice .

I had lost touch with Walter for decades when I happened to be accompanying my mom @ CMC wheh she was having a cradioversion.  As I was waiting with her in the recovery area, Walter walked in and I was completely taken by surprise by the career path he had taken.  He was so caring for my mom, who was not liking to be "a bother" (as I am sure most of our moms were/are).

That was also the last time I saw him.

Lesson is: we never know when it will be over, but it's important to stay connected whenever we can and celebrate the good times and memories.
