John Heinonen has a good point. Lets not be lame-ohs. This is a great opportunity (possibly the last opportunity) for everyone to get together and have some fun. It sounds like not very many people have sent in their money for tickets. It's one weekend...find your kids a babysitter and join in on the reunion. Come on…..who wouldn’t pay $20 to see Louie get naked on the dance floor?

Count me and Kevin Raville in on the booze cruise. Although, I'd be a little concerned that after a day of drinking on the boat many might not make it to the Eagles that night. I'll bring my boat but what would be ideal is a bunch of pontoon boats. Anyone?

Hey Greg. I see you still like to blow shit up. Fireworks on boats? Can I ride in your boat?

By the way Johnnie...maybe Louie should leave his pants on this time or at least wait and make it the last 2 songs. We don't want to scare people off too early. No offense Lou...you still "ROCK"!

I just want everyone to know that even though I'm bringing 3 men as my dates, I'm not actually dating any of them. But Harden keeps asking. Kim, as far as that "bond" thing goes, can we just bring in our own stuff? It's not like we need an actual "bar", where I can get a sloe gin fizz or a banana daquiri. I think beer, wine, and vodka will work just fine. Let's pretend it's a wedding reception at the K of C, and get those big McDonald jugs that say "whiskey and coke" or "vodka and oj" on them.

I'd asked why we can't just have everyone bring their own drinks--but evidently we can't. We have to purchase everything in advance... evidently unless someone wants to get married that night. Heinonen--maybe you'd be willing to marry one of your 3 male dates even though you aren't actually DATING any of them?? :D Wait, Michigan probably hasn't made that legal yet anyway... :) I don't know what the difference is but evidently if it's a wedding the liquor license/bond thing is a whole different story?
*shrugs*
At any rate--Karrie and Rachael, awesome workers that they are--figured it out & the paperwork will be submitted this week. Not such a big deal, mostly just a huge pain in the ass.
Way to go Karrie & Rachael!! :)

Hello everyone! My how the years have passed. Today was my last full day of normal work in the Air Force. I officially retire on 1 August. I have all of May to take care of administrative stuff and have 61 days of vacation saved. Now the work of finding out what I want to do when I grow up. :) Planning on staying over in England for some time longer, so trying to investigate the different possibilities of employment. Not sure if I'll be able to make it to the reunion, depends on the job search. Will try to keep in touch though. Take care all!

Valium is good for hangovers, so if anyone is suffering from a break-down or some kind of neurosis, please hand out your brain-candy on saturday morning, before and after the booze cruise. Cocaine will wake us up for The Eagles. To my knowledge, the mixture of these substances are safe and effective.

Hey Kim. If it hasn't been already suggested, maybe a 50/50 drawing would help cover some expenses. Whatever money is remaining can carry over to the next reunion. Just a thought.

I checked into sturgeon river tube trips. $15.00 per person for a 2 1/2 hour tube ride. Departs every half hour. 9:30- 4:30 Some of you expressed an interest. No reservations needed. This might be a fun Friday activity.

07/07/09 07:29 PM #41

Bruce Hemmer

Anybody interested in the Friday tube trips on the Sturgeon River- let me know. I live right by the river & know the canoe/tube livery owner very well. Also, my house can be used as a staging area & rally point. Depending on the time we start/finish we could easily have a barbeque/picnic or whatever. I'll see what kind of feedback we get on this and go from there...

Operation: RIVER of SCOTCH.

All, I have a pontoon boat on Mullet Lake that will travel with the rest of the '89 Flotilla along the Cheboygan River. My boat can seat 15 persons. I will check with some of the local idiots (ie - Heinonen, Louie) to confirm schedule for said river-float event.

Please NOTE: my boat only runs on Scotch. Scotch Scotch Scotch...in my belly.

If you have an interest in rolling on the big river, please give me a shout (email: robertshaw@dellmail.com). We can make the necessary arrangements.

Looking forward to seeing y'all. OK, really I just want some Scotch...

Lastly, Heinonen, stay the hell away from my boat. You can ride down the River with Ryan Casey, on bails of money from the Wall Street bail-out.

As for fireworks, I'm taking myself off the Committee for such shenanigans. See below for specific reason(s) why. Peace out. -Shaw

As you can all see, Shaw is still the moron we all knew he could be. I'm kinda jealous. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!! HEEEYYYY-OOOOHHHHH!
