Janice Marie (Dushinske), Caldwell was born in Cherokee Iowa on March 19, 1940 and passed away May 15, 2007 in Bakersfield, CA.  Janice moved to Los Angeles, CA at the age of 18 where she continued her education and met her future husband Thomas Caldwell. They were married November 6, 1965 in Saint Ignatius church in Los Angeles. It was at this time that she became employed at Pacific Bell Telephone Co. where she rose to the, position of supervisor and remained with them for 30 years. Jan and her husband Tom moved Bodfish, CA in 1995 and shortly after became an officer of the association.

Janice was a wonderful wife and mother and worked very hard at being both. Her family and her many friends will, tell you that everything she did was for someone other than herself. She always put herself last. We will miss her dearly, but we can comforted knowing that she will be with her Lord. Janice is preceded. In death by her parents; William Dushinske, Florence (Jenkins) Dushinske, and her sister Mary Cosgrove. She is survived by her husband Thomas of 42 years; her two children; Cynthia Marie Caldwell, and Kimberly Ann Caldwell; her grandchildren: Richard, Mark, James, and Magen Dion, and Joshua Gaddis; her brothers, William Dushinske of Rock Port Texas, Thomas P. Dushinske of Cherokee and sister Dorothy Hyndman of Cherokee.
