In Memory

Michael Pearson

Michael Pearson

IWalt Hermpel notified me today that Michael Pearson passed away.  Walt sent the following details so far:

Mike Pearson, Gulf Breeze, Florida passed away at Fort Walton Hospital Florida on the evening May 15, 2021. He was diagnosed two months ago with a very rare, incurable cancer. I spoke with his daughter Lt. Col. Michelle Pearson Suberly, USAF. He was very close to her and he moved a number of times as she was transferred from base to base. He was a loving grandfather to his three grand-daughters. As I recall Mike was the only member of our senior class who drove Cadillac with two batteries and heated seats but he was from Nebraska. Michelle wanted me to notify his PMC classmates. Arrangements for his funeral have not been made yet. I will forward the details when I receive them.

We all wish Mikes' family comfort and peace for this time of mourning and reflection.

Mike was my junior year roommate so we became very close.   A bit of trivia:   As a member of the PMC golf team Mike needed civilian clothes.   So he was one of only a very few who had civies in his locker!   He was a good man in every respect and was proud to play an important part in his granddaughters early years while his daughter and her husband were on active duty in the Air Force.   I know he will greatly missed!

So sorry to hear of Mike's passing. It was just a few months ago we were all praying for him and sending Mike and his family well wishes. Seems sad that he was taken so quickly, but it was God's will and hopefully he was spared prolonged suffering. I remember him well as a unique member of our class iand yes I remember the Cadillac, but not the two batteries, but in those days Cadillac's were so big you could hide just about anything under the hood. Rest in Peace, my friend! We miss you already!
