William Charles Holmeide

January 31, 1943 - April 15, 2013

William Charles Holmeide entered eternal life on April 15, 2013. He was born on January 31, 1943 in Oak Park, Illinois, to Peder and Myrtle Holmeide.

After High School he served in the Marine Corps and was deployed to Vietnam. Afterward he attended Northwestern University in Chicago where he earned an MBA. He held various positions in Illinois and Michigan during his work career and retired from Wisconsin Public Service, where he was a fossil fuels supervisor.

Bill was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oneida where he served as Treasurer for many years. He enjoyed meeting his friends for breakfast in Green Bay on Wednesday mornings. Bill loved his family and had a very special relationship with his grandson, Joey with whom he played games on the weekends.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Irene and children, Judi (Mark) Paul, Michael (Pam) Naylor and Heather Naylor; six grandchildren, Jordan, Rachel, Margaret, Peter, Joey and Anna. He is further survived by a sister, Rosemary; nieces, Ellen (Marty) Clemens and Carol (Tim) Thaxton; several great-nieces and nephews. Also, sisters and brothers-in-law, Rita, Derek, Syd and Rosemary in England.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lorna; a grandson, Hayden; brother-in-law, Terry and two brothers, Norman and infant brother, Gary.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church, 453 Rose Hill Drive, Oneida from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:30 am with Reverend Mark Schumm officiating.
