Weatherbee, James Arthur age 74, died peacefully with his wife Monica by his side on Monday, April 17, 2017, after a long battle with brain illness and dementia. Beloved father of Lisa and Laura. Preceded in death by mother, Thelma Jane. Globally respected in his field. Those who knew Jim knew him for his intelligence, his wit, his creativ-ity and humor. He's at peace now. Jim was a brilliant Honors Student. As a very young scientist, he was selected to be on the team doing research that led to development of the annual flu vaccine. ...I think of Jim every year when I get that flu shot because it changed my life for the good! ...I used to get the flu and 2-3 feverish colds every year - and I did NOT recover quickly ~ I'd be sick for 7-10 days or more, with each episode. In the years since taking that shot, I rarely have any symptoms !!!
