In July 2012, it was reported that Patrick Mulbrandon, formerly of Joliet, Illinois, a summer school graduate, was killed in a motor vehicle accident on October 8, 1982 along with his 12 year old daughter, Katie. He was survived by his oldest daughter, Lisa, his second wife Charla, and three siblings, Jim, Mike and Jean. Patrick was an attorney who loved politics and science fiction. He was very involved in political fundraisers and aspired to be a judge someday. He believed in this country and all it had to offer. He coached his children's softball teams and was very social and enjoyed lively conversations.
