- THIS DAY IN HISTORY -

Brought to you by the great people at ThePeopleHistory.com.

Here is the URL for a web site with many old photos of Chillicothe, some contributed by our classmate, Richard Peck, and others from Whit Streicher: https://picasaweb.google.com/103102899293783845826/OldChillicothePics

If someone will send me the words to the fight songs for West Fifth and Western, I would love to include them also.  Furthermore, I plan to add the words to our Alma Mater in the near future.

Here are the words to the Fight Song for C.H.S.:

Oh, Chillicothe fairest school to me,

Bravest school in all the land,

We honor you this day, so do your best.

Blue and white must wave tonight

(Rah Rah Rah)

Chillicothe fight the foe.

Win the fray that we may say

Oh, Chillicothe fairest school to me

We praise thee to the sky.

Thanks to an inquiry by Nancy Brown Tanner and the remarkable memory of Judy Lewis Kaltenbach, I am able to post here the lyrics of the Fight Song for Mt. Logan Junior High:

An army of students are we,

We work and we play, all together

We're proud of Mt. Logan as can be

And we want you all to know

We love all its rules and we aim

To keep them in fair or foul weather

We know we are right when we claim

Our junior high will never die, will live forever.

Please take a few minutes to check out the photos in the Photo Gallery.  On 02/11/11 I added several photos to the album Miscellaneous Photos of Interest to our Classmates.  There are some valentines from 7th and 8th grade and a few photos of ticket stubs from basketball games during our high school days.  Click on the images to see larger versions.

Please remember all your classmates in your prayers.  Some need our prayers even though they have not asked us for prayer.  We could all use the prayers of our classmates every day.

Welcome to our web site for Chillicothe High School Class Of 1959. We trust this will be a fun and informative site to help us maintain contact with each other.  Let's keep alive that Cavalier spirit so evident in our 50-year Class Reunion.  Please contact us with your comments and suggestions to improve this web site.
