Nancy A. Wills (Gatten)

Nancy A. Wills Gatten, 75, of Chillicothe, died 7:25 a.m. Saturday May 21, 2016 following an extended illness.

She was born January 5, 1941, in Jackson County, to the late Ernest and Dolores Speakman Wills. On June 12, 1959, she married the former Orval R. Gatten who survives.

Also surviving are children, Orval L. Gatten and fiancée, Jodi Lowery and Jackie (Tony) Neff; grandchildren, Chastity (Jake) Hollis and Chance Neff, all of Chillicothe; a great granddaughter, Jaiden Hollis; a great grandson, Alec Hollis; a brother, Ronald Wills, of Florida; a sister, Cindy (Denver) Kingsland, of Chillicothe; a sister-in-law, Sandra Wills, of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Ernest Jr., Robert and David Wills.

Nancy graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1959. She enjoyed lunches and other activities with her classmates till she was no longer able. Nancy’s interests ranged from motorcycle touring, to Swedish weaving, to shopping at WalMart, which was a family joke. She loved God, and she was a wonderful wife, mother and person.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Vandeusen, Dr. Thompson and Becky Emerine at the Adena Cancer Center for the exceptional care given to Nancy and love shown to our family during this time.

Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016. There will be no funeral services. Burial will be in Londonderry Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Dry Run Church 7759 Egypt Pike Chillicothe, Ohio 45601 or to the Ross County Humane Society 2308A Lick Run Road Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
