    Carolyn Rose Blevins-Pool, 66, of Columbus formerly of Chillicothe went to be with the Lord 5:02 a.m. January 1, 2008; (having passed away) in the Ohio State University Medical Center following an extended illness.

    A celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m. Friday January 4, 2008 in the Ware Funeral Home with her brother Pastor Kenneth Blevins officiating.  At her request there will be no calling hours.

    Carolyn was born August 20, 1941 in Boyd County, Kentucky to the late Carl E. and Edna Fraley Blevins.

    Surviving are daughters Cathy M. (Mendy Yates) Pool of Columbus and Tammy L. (Donald) Elkins of Chillicothe; a son Britton E. Pool of Columbus; grandchildren Amanda Rose Pool, Joshua A. Elkins, Jaime P. Mannering, Britton M. Pool, Bryce J. Pool, amd Alexis N. Bush.  Carolyn was expecting her first great-grandson.  She was also survived by brothers Kenneth (Wanda) Blevins, Carl "Bud" (Peggy) Blevins, and Phillip (Sheila) Blevins all of Chillicothe; a sister Cathy "Cate" (John) Boggs of Kingston; several nieces and nephews, and several grandnieces and grandnephews.  She was predeceased by a nephew, Todd A. Blevins.

    Carolyn graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1959 and graduated in 1983 from Hocking Tech College as a Registered Nurse.  She retired from nursing in 1999 after having spent many years of her life traveling as a Navy wife and mother.  She was an avid Ohio State Fan.
