    We have lost our mother and our best friend.  Lorraine V. Arledge, 58, of Chillicothe passed from this life unexpectedly Friday afternoon, October 8, 1999.  She was born December 16, 1940 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Fred and Marjorie Stover Kennison.  On July 4, 1996 she married Carl J. Arledge who survives.

    Also surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Toni and Rick Detty and Julie and Ed Alexander, all of Chillicothe, and Tami and Tom Steele of Hilliard; grandchildren Cassidy, Andrea, Rickey, Justin, Brennan, Andrew, Kelsey, Linsay and Karly; great-grandchildren Scottie, Devon and Bryce; a sister Ida May Harper, a sister and brother-in-law Maxine and Charles Haskins, all of Chillicothe; brothers and sisters-in-law Denver and Miriam Kennison of Chilicothe, and Fred and Rita Kennison of Linnville, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews. 

    She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Robin Mays; and sisters Ann Garrison, Patricia Seymour and Ruth LeMaster.

    Mrs. Arledge was a specialist with Frontier Community Services and enjoyed working with her patients.  She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

    Funeral services will be held at noon Monday in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Clendaniel officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
