R. Jeffrey Lytle

    Dr. R. Jeffrey Lytle, 44, of 1056 Laguna St. - Livermore, California died September 4, 1985 following a lengthy illness.

    He was born February 10, 1941 in Chillicothe to Robert Powers and Barbara Elberfeld Lytle.

    Surviving  are his wife, Glenda; daughter Janette; and sons Ivan and Robert Powers, at home; his parents; sister Janice L. Mahoney; a niece, Katharine; nephews, David and Michael Mahoney, of Allison Park, Pennsylvania.

    Dr. Lytle graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1959 and from Purdue University in 1963 where he also earned his Ph. D. in electrical engineering.

    Dr. Lytle was employed by Lawrence Livermore labs as a Research Electrical Engineer. Further, as a geophysicist he was Vice-Presicent and Director of Research of Geotomographics, Ltd.  This year he as honored as a "Fellow" by The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Worldwide.

    A memorial service was held at the First Baptist Church of Livermore with the Rev. Roger Lewis officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Livermore or your favorite charity.

I still miss him--he had a great dry sense of humor and was a great listner--I so wish we could have shared more time together. jim lungo
