    Danny Stitt, 63, of Chillicothe went home to be with the Lord 12:20 p.m. Thursday April 17, 2003 at his residence following a brief illness.

    He was born May 15, 1939 in Chillicothe, the son of the late Cahrles E. and the late Emma Buskirk Stitt.  On June 8, 1988 he married the former Judy Coffenberger, who survives.

    Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Larry Cozad; a son and daughter-in-law, Danny Lee and Lisa Detty Stitt, all of Chillicothe; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Kerry and Michael Johnson Winks, Marysville; eight grandchildren, Shashona Anne Fisher, Amy Lynn Cozad, Cody Adam Cozad, Krystal Stitt, Dylan Stitt, Savannah Winks, Danielle Winks, and Michael Winks, Jr; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Freddie E. and Connie Stitt, Chilicothe; Robert and Jeanette Stitt, Sunbury, and Denny and Tobie Stitt, Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.  One sister, Emma Jean Reed, preceded him in death.

    Mr. Stitt was a carpenter, retired from Carpenters Local # 200.  He was a member of the Scottish Rite, and Trinity United Methodist Church.

    Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 22, 2003 at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Reverends David and Elizabeth Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  Friends may call at the Fawcett Oliver Glass & Palmer Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Adena Health Systems.
