Susan Elaine Blair Harbert, 73, of U.S. Rt. 23, Waverly, Ohio, passed away Thursday February 13, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. She was born December 24, 1940 in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Russell Blair and Emogene Cline Blair. In May of 1966 Susie was united in marriage to John G. Harbert who preceded her in death on August 5, 2013. Surviving are two sons, John Russell Harbert and William “Billy” Harbert and wife Natalie both of Waverly; four grandchildren, Billy, Lainey and Jessica Harbert and Brice Bailey; two sisters, Dottie Catching of Chillicothe and Bonnie Blair of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Susie was a former employee with the FBI in Washington D.C., Executive Secretary at Mead Corporation in Chillicothe, a member of the Pike County Farm Bureau, Pike County Republican Club, the First Tuesday Club, and a 1959 graduate of Chillicothe High School. Susie loved cooking and baking with her grandchildren, going on trips, especially to the beach, and feeding the squirrels and birds at her home.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Waverly. Friends may call at the funeral home 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday and from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Monday.
