Born in West Virginia in 1941, Jayne and her family - Mom (Rachel), Dad (Walter), sister (Sharon Dalrymple) and brothers (Carroll and Bob Brooks) grew up in Chillicothe, Ohio. She earned a degree in X-ray technology and worked in the field off and on for over 40 years.

She joined the Fadden family in 1965 and had three children, Kathy, John, and Brian, who grew up in Monroe, Ohio. In 2001, she moved to North Carolina. She was so excited after waiting for grandchildren to have three in a row in 2008 -- Conor, Colin and Laila, closely followed by two additional grandchildren, Aislinn and Shea.

Nana loved fiercely -- her kids, grandkids, football and saving kitties along with a good chardonnay. She loved to travel, especially to Isle of Palms, taking pictures and decorating for the holidays.

She never knew a stranger and was loved by her neighbors and friends. She will be missed dearly.

She is joining her mother, father, and granddaughter Shea in heaven and will be keeping an eye on her family from above.

One of Jayne’s greatest wishes was for a cure for her granddaughter, Aislinn. Aislinn has a rare, fatal genetic disorder called Sanfilippo Syndrome. In lieu of flowers, she would want friends and family to donate to Aislinn’s Wish (aislinnswish.org/take-action.)
