Charles E. Forsythe, 69, of Circleville, formerly of Chillicothe, died 9:50 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2010, in Circleville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.

He was born January 18, 1941, in Atlanta, Ohio, Pickaway County, to the late Charles Norville and Rita Wunsch Lowry Forsythe.

Surviving are a daughter, Rigina (Stuart) Tobin, of Virginia Beach, VA; a son, Fred Forsythe and his girlfriend Ava Missledine, both of Columbus; and special friends, whom he thought of as his children, Eric and Lisa Bowling, of Chesapeake, VA and Chad, Amy and Jesse Downing, all of Chillicothe. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Cara Bowling.

Charles was a 1959 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He retired from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chillicothe, where he had worked for over 35 years.

There will be no funeral service. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2010.
