Donald F. Fout

(12/01/40 – 11/27/15) -

Donald F. Fout, 74, of Chillicothe, died at 1:50am November 27, 2015, at his residence following a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).

He was born December 1, 1940, in Chillicothe, to the late Jesse R. and Dorothy (Riley) Fout. On August 4, 1962, he married the former Marsha A. Lovensheimer, who survives.

Also surviving are their children: Brenda (Donald) Doles, Chillicothe; Donna (Leonard) Williams, Johnstown; Todd (Wendy) Fout, Richmond Dale; grandchildren: Jeremy (Farrah) Williams; Joshua (Tara) Williams; Noah, Savannah and Gabriella Fout; great-grandson Mason Williams; an aunt Loretta Houser; brothers and sisters: Ronald (Beverly) Fout; Sherry Dearth; John (Linda) Fout; Jess (Sharon) Fout; in-laws Clark (June) Lovensheimer; Marjorie Lovensheimer; Jeanette Lovensheimer; Evelyn Lovensheimer; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Walter and Freda Lovensheimer; in-laws Roger Dearth, Betty Cutright, Jack Lovensheimer, Ronald Lovensheimer, and David Lovensheimer.

Don retired from the DuPont Corp. in 1999 following 36 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary Church and the Sons of the American Legion, Post 62. When he wasn’t busy working, he enjoyed motorcycles. The family would like to give special thanks to his son-in-law Donnie for his care during Don’s illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am, Tuesday, December 1, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5-8pm at Haller Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 8pm.
