     Robert B Gates, 70, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2011 with his family by his side.  Bob was born in Preston, Idaho on July 11, 1941 a son of Ruth Burbank and Warren Nelson Gates.  He served in the Army Reserves from 1959 to 1967.

      Bob married Barbara Ann Keller, and they had two daughters together.  He later married Debbie Hansen, and she brought a son Jason to this union.

      Bob was the owner of Bob's Tire and Service and had worked for Brigham City Corp in the public works department.  He was a member of Box Elder County Scuba Team and many hunting groups.  He enjoyed group hunting, fishing, rendezvous and trapping.

     Surviving are his daughters: Kristy (Brian) Law, Brigham City; Julie (Kirk) Jeppson, Port Orchard, WA; six grand children and one great-grandchild; also two brothers, Warren L. Gates and Daniel Gates.  Bob was preceded in death by his parents. 

     Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT.  Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the Mortuary.  Interment will be in Brigham City Cemetery.
