Sharon K. Mowrey (Ewart)

Sharon K. Ewart, 70, of Pataskala, formerly of Chillicothe, died Monday morning, August 6, 2012, in her daughter’s home surrounded by family. She had fought a courageous 7 month battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born September 10, 1941, in Greenfield, OH to the late Samuel P. and Garnet L. Moore Mowrey.

Sharon is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lisa A. (Shawn) Tuttle, of Reynoldsburg; grandchildren: Natalie and Patrick O’Ryan; Summer, Breana and Nicole Ewart; and Laney, Sarah and Gage Tuttle; her brother-in-law Bill Gray, Chillicothe; and her beloved dog “Lacey.” She was predeceased by her son Charles Ewart; her sister Jean Gray; and a grandson Austin Ewart.

Sharon was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1959. Sharon was an active member of Senior Citizens of Reynoldsburg (SCOR) and the Ross Co. Seniors and Lawmen Together (SALT). She enjoyed creating stained glass artwork.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, August 11, at the Charleston Church of the Brethren, 250 Dunkard Hill Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601, with Rev. Mel Smith officiating. Friends may call from 10am until 12pm Saturday at the Church. Following cremation, burial will be held at the Charleston Church of the Brethren Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sharon’s honor to Haller Funeral Home, 1661 Western Avenue, Chillicothe, OH 45601.
