In Memory

Jerry E. Warner

(03/08/40 - 05/29/10)

Jerry E. Warner, 70, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Saturday May 29, 2010 at his residence. He was born on March 8, 1940 in Shawnee, Ohio, to the late Charles and Betty (Forbes) Warner. His wife Francis Holton preceded him in death in 1967.

Surviving are his sons Lonnie (Shawn) Warner, Chillicothe, James (Kristie) Warner, Akron, grandchildren, Kyle and Adam Warner, sisters, Marleah (Paul) Holton, Chillicothe, Linda (Vic) Gelafio, Chillicothe, brother, Charles “Butch” (Shirley) Warner, Chillicothe, and many nieces and nephews.

He could be found on any Saturday morning tinkering around his shop; helping the neighbors with things around the house; giving local neighborhood kids rides on his “souped up” lawn mower, or fixing the squeaky wheels on their bikes. He was an avid photographer…he took hundreds of pictures of family, friends, and everything in between. He was on a first name basis with the photo department at Wal-Mart! Boxes and boxes of photos capture the most important moments in life.

During the week, you could find him operating the dredge at the Chillicothe S&S Aggregate Plant. He was a loyal company man, employed with Muskingham River Gravel Plant which later became S&S Aggregate, for 43 years. Some might even say the “Dredge” was his home away from home and yes, there are many pictures of it too!

Jerry was a man who lived, laughed, and loved. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday June 2, 2010 in the Richmond Dale Church of God, with Rev. Dean Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday June 1, 2010 from 6-8 pm, and one hour prior to the service. The Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home is serving the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, The Lance Armstrong Livestrong Foundation, National Mailing Processing Center, P.O. Box 6003 Alberta Lea, MN 56007-6603.
