     Georgia M. Goodman Speakman, 77, of Columbus, died 11:45 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus following an extended illness.

     She was born June 3, 1939, in Washington Court House, Ohio to Elza and Martha Crone Goodman. She was married to John S. Speakman who preceded her in death October 6, 2008.

     Surviving are seven children, Randy Ater, Kimberly A. Speakman, Timothy W. Speakman, Michael S. (Patricia) Speakman, Christa L. (David) March, all of Columbus, Ohio, Lora J. Ater of Chillicothe and Johanna L. (Alex) Patridis of Logan, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; three sisters, Elsie Cook, Barbara (Gary) Nelson, Vera May; and a stepmother, Violet Goodman, all of Chillicothe.

     She was predeceased by her mother and father Elza and Martha Goodma

     Georgia was a retired social worker and a member of Central Avenue Church of Christ in Christian Union, Columbus.

     Funeral service was held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME. Burial followed in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  You may find her online register at www.warefh.com
