Nancy Wallace (Frick)

Nancy L. Wallace Frick, 76, of Lititz, Pennsylvania passed away Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Virginia (Plummer) Wallace. She was the loving wife of Charles H. Frick Jr., with whom she shared more than 53 years of marriage.

She graduated from the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio, with a bachelor’s degree in education. Teaching remained her passion throughout her life. She taught pre-school, elementary school, and English as a second language in Ohio, Arizona, and Pennsylvania. Even in her later years she tutored neighborhood children in reading. For more than 20 years she worked in the Manheim Central Schools.

Nancy enjoyed shopping; traveling here and abroad; spending time with her family; and she adored her dog, Dallas. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lancaster where she served as a deacon and taught Sunday school for many years. She also volunteered her time for Contact Helpline of Lancaster.

In addition to her husband, Charles, she is survived by her son: Alec Frick, Esq. and wife Adele, who reside in Baltimore, Md.; grandchildren: Eric, Evan, Claire, and Carter; and nephews: John, Jay, and Peter.

She was preceded in death by her two sisters: Phyllis and Dory.

Services were held Sept. 25 at First Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, with the Rev. Geoff Kohler officiating. Interment was in New Providence Church of God Cemetery.
