JAMES EDWARD DRUMMOND


James Edward Drummond, 61, of Sugar Grove, Ohio,
passed from this life 6:40 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2006,
in a relatives home in West Virginia following an extended illness.
He was born September 16, 1944, in Chillicothe, Ohio,
the son of Forrest and Lovene Grooms Drummond, who survive, of Lebanon, Ohio.
On April 3, 2005, he married the former JoAnn Fugate Kelly, who survives.
Also surviving are sons, Ben (Angela) Drummond, of Elkton, KY,
Jeremiah Drummond, of Walnut Creek, CA;
daughters, Carrie (James) Bonsack, of Muncie, IN
and Katie and Krista Drummond, at home;
4 grandchildren, Madelynn and Meredith Drummond
and Caleb and Eleanore Bonsack;
sisters, Jean (Arthur) Freeman, of Winter Park, FL
and Barbara (Jess) Schnell, of Richmond, VA;
step-sons, Roger and Brian Kelly;
5 stepgrandchildren as well as numerous friends and other relatives.
Mr. Drummond was a life-time educator.
He graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1962,
Asbury College, Wilmore, KY in 1966,
received his Masters from Ohio State University
and spent most of his teaching and coaching career
in the Columbus Public Schools,
Franklin University and Logan Schools.
He loved outdoor sports and was an avid Buckeye fan.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, September 11, 2006,
in the Ware Funeral Home
with Rev. James Wright and Rev. Charles Case officiating.
Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Friends may call at Wares from 11 a.m. until time of service on Monday.
