PHYLLIS K. IRWIN HILES


Phyllis K. Hiles, 60, of Chillicothe,
passed to her Heavenly Home
at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2004,
at Adena Regional Medical Center following and extended illness.
She was born March 10, 1944, in Gallipolis, Ohio,
to Clarence L. and Evelyn D. Childers Irwin.
On January 28, 1968, she married Glen M. Hiles, who survives.
In addition to her husband, Glen, and mother, Evelyn, both of Chillicothe,
she is survived by a son, Damon M. Hiles, at home;
sisters, Hope (Dave) Diggle, of Athens, OH,
and Yolanda A. (Jack) Elston, of South Bend IN;
a brother, Ray (Ruth) Irwin, of Chillicothe;
in-laws, Donald (Alice) Hiles, Wayne (Jean) Hiles,
Hobart (Martha) Harris, Roy (Dorothy) Hiles,
Richard (Glenda) Walsh and Aleta Nichols;
and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father, Clarence,
and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sylvia and Clyde Hiles.
In 1997, Phyllis received her B.S. in Nursing from Ohio University.
In 2003, she retired from the Chillicothe VA Medical Center,
where she was nurse manager.
Phyllis dearly loved the nursing profession.
She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
Funeral services will be conducted 11a.m. Thursday, September 30, 2004
at Ware Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Hiles officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at Wares from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
