Frank Nunn

HERBERT FRANKLIN NUNN Herbert Franklin Nunn, 58, of Portsmouth, died Monday, June 4, 2001, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Born May 15, 1943, in Fayetteville, W. Va., he is survived by his father and step-mother, William Dyer and Melva Maxine Dunn, of Waverly and was preceded in death by his mother, Aleta Hudnall Nunn. He was retired from Martin Marietta, attended Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, and was a Navy veteran and a member of P.A.C.E., and James Dickey Post American Legion. Also surviving are his wife, Lynn Riley Nunn; son, Jason F. Nunn, of Dayton, daughter and son-in-law, Lindsay and Brad Wintersteen, of Columbus; son and daughter-in-law, John and Shawna Sexton, of Portsmouth; two grandchildren; sister, Jeanne Nunn, of Portsmouth; brother and sister-in-law, William and Linda Nunn, of Waverly; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Melcher Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with the Rev. Mark Ghiloni officiating and burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, with Military Graveside Rites by James Dickey Post American Legion. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
